Our programs

PIRSE develops targeted research and information programs addressing critical health-environment interface challenges. Each program combines interdisciplinary expertise with evidence-based approaches to generate actionable solutions for policymakers, professionals, and society.

Program on Endocrine Disruptors

The Endocrine Disruptors Program is PIRSE's first program. Endocrine disruptors represent an urgent challenge. Their ubiquity and ability to alter endocrine systems at low doses lead to significant impacts on human health and biodiversity. The complexity of this issue requires a transdisciplinary approach, integrating medical, natural, and social sciences. In this context, PIRSE adopts a holistic perspective to address the interconnections between endocrine disruptors, environment, and human health. It is to respond to these crucial issues that PIRSE has created its dedicated Endocrine Disruptors Program, aiming to federate expertise and propose concrete solutions.

Program Objectives

Research Development: Develop interdisciplinary research on endocrine disruptors, exploring complex interactions between chemical exposures, health outcomes, and environmental impacts.

Knowledge Translation: Synthesize scientific evidence into accessible guidance for healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public.

Expert Networks: Build collaborative networks bringing together specialists from environmental toxicology, public health, regulatory science, and social sciences.
